This was our first experience of cruising in the Caribbean with NCL. We chose a suite for the extra space and the perks that came the cabin. We chose the itinerary as it offered 4 ports of call and 2 days of cruising.
We stayed at a Hampton Inn the night before embarkation as they offered car parking a a shuttle bus to and from the port for 150 dollars.
Embarkation was a breeze with our concierge taking us to Cagneys for lunch once we had completed the check in procedures. The cabin was very spacious with an excellent en suite bathroom with a full bath and a separate shower as well as his and hers washbasins. It also had a great balcony with sunloungers, table and chairs. The bed was extremely comfortable.
We ate at Le Bistro, Cagneys, La Cucina and Moderno on 4 of our nights and at the Venetian on the other 3 nights. All were excellent with good service and freshly cooked food. We had breakfast and lunch most days at Cagneys , a suite perk !
We went to the early show each night at 6:30. All shows were great fun with excellent entertainment. We then went to eat around 8:15 when there were minimal queues to the restaurant.
At Roatan, Belize and Cozumel we took NCL organised excursions. They were conducted very well although some of the bus transport was a little old.
The suite perks of chocolate covered strawberries, canapés and cookies each day were much enjoyed. Our butler, cabin steward and concierge were very attentive to our every whim.
Disembarkation was very smooth and being suite guests allowed us to go to the front of the line and be the first through immigration at Tampa.
Our NCL Dawn cruise experience was so good that we have already booked another cruise next February on the Pearl next year.
