Great Cruise on the Miracle!!
Destination: Mexican Riviera
Embarkation: Los Angeles
We stayed at the Hotel Maya the night before using the Carnival corp code and got a great rate with parking for the cruise included. They also provided a free shuttle to/from the port which was great.
We had FTTF and check in was a breeze we were on the ship @12:45 and our room was ready by the time we got to it.
We were lucky to snag cabin 7258, which is an extended balcony and one of the "bowling alley" balconies. It was simply awesome!!! 3 loungers and several other chairs. We could have a party out there and had 30 people on our balcony. Look for these cabins on the Spirit class ships, same price as an extended but with 3x the balcony.
The food was very good and the Sea Day Brunch was a great idea and we loved it. The MDR was busy as usual. We had anytime dining and always were seated at a private table right away. The food was really good. More The Buffet was also pretty good especially the pizza and the deli. I know good pizza and this was decent. Better than almost any pizza in Phoenix anyway!! It was nice to have the omelets and eggs at the Lido grill too.
We saw the Big Band show which was very very good. I'm in my late 40's but still love to hear Sinatra etc.. and the singer (Ned Rifkin?)was really good and personable and the orchestra was great.
We didnt miss any of the adult comedy shows..they were hilarious!! like the intro states if you are easily offended you should leave..... we loved it and laughed alot.. really good stuff from all 4 comedians.
We took the city bus into the Old Town in Puerto Vallarta both days and the bus ride alone was an excursion!! very cool to mingle with locals and see the real Mexico. We strolled the Malecon which is really nice and stopped at many establishments for $1 beers and margaritas.. our favorites were The Sea Monkey and the Cheeky Monkey!! fun times!!
In Cabo, we walked all around the Marina and eventually found ourselves sitting in beach chairs at the Mango Deck and had a blast!! we took the water taxi back lol!! $3 ya can't beat that!! Saw breaching whales right next to the ship, countless dolphins and also seat turtles and rays...pretty awesome stuff!
We used self assist priority debarkation with FTTF and were one of the first off the ship upon return to Long Beach.
FTTF was well worth it for us, especially when we tendered into Cabo, we got to go straight to the front of the line.
All around a fantastic cruise. We are now going to try and snag a last minute summer 4 day to Catalina/Ensenada and take my two boys 12/14 for thier first cruise. Less
Cabin review: 7258

I think there are only a few of them .. they are midship/aft and are easily spotted on a deck plan.
