This was our first time on the Eclipse. Embarkation in Fort Lauderdale was quick, but cabins weren't available for about an hour, so we had a drink by the pool.
We had a balcony cabin overlooking the rear of the ship on deck 8. The cabin was clean and the bathroom was bigger than any other ships we had been on. The wardrobe was small and there weren't enough hangers.
The ship was immaculate and public toilets looked very luxurious with glass sinks and proper hand towels. The food was good but there could have been a little more variety of desserts in the main restaurant. The buffet restaurant was well laid out with various food counters, so there was less queuing.
Drinks were on the expensive side and others said it was worth having the drink package.
There were plenty of sun beds and pool monitors removed towels etc if a bed was vacant for a while. We particularly liked the solarium pool. The outdoor pool areas were more crowded, however there was More
never a problem getting a sun bed.
There was a good variety of excursions. We did the one on the last day which dropped us off at the airport. Wouldn't do that again as we were dropped of at Miami airport at 2pm and couldn't check in until 4pm for our flight home. Next time we will book a day room at a hotel and go into Miami for the day.
On the whole it was a fantastic ship with a great itinerary and we booked on ship for next year. Less
