Sail Date: Feb 2014

We are in our early 50's and have cruised 5 times prior to this time. After reading some of the reviews (after I booked, gulp) I was a little nervous about the ship. First let me tell you, the ship was immaculate! And it was tip top from the minute we boarded until the minute we got off.

Day 1 - There was fog on Sunday morning so the ship was 3 hours late coming into port. That meant a long wait time for us. But it couldn't be helped. No one has control of the weather. Once we got on, things were smooth sailing, literally and figuratively. Our cabin, and inside forward was fine. They are small, but laid out just fine. The desk probably could have had an angle cut, so it would be easier to get around it, but it was not a big deal. Bathroom was nice sized, plenty of storage. We were unpacked with our suitcase stowed under the bed in 20 minutes. We went to eat at Aqua, the more casual of the two dining rooms and watched out the window as the ship left port about 5:00 pm. The food in Aqua is average, I had pork tenderloin and my husband had steak and lobster. The service was excellent! We are not big foodies, so I will just say that our experience with the food was about the same each day B- - B+. We then went to the show at the Stardust, and the singer/dancers were fantastic~ The comedian was funny and the cruise director Dan Dan was entertaining. We were excited to see what they had in store the rest of the week.

Day 2 - At Sea. We had a leisurely breakfast in the buffet area, I had a massage at the spa (this we the only disappointment of the trip, WAY overpriced at $210) and then we sat by the pool for a couple of hours. We commented many times on how smooth the trip was. WE could barely feel that we were at sea. Nice calm seas! We had lunch at the pool, had a nap and then dinner and show. WE are early risers, so we didn't do much after 9 pm. We saw the activities on tv each day so we didn't feel like we missed much. It looked like the late nighters had great fun~
