We called this cruise the second annual cruise sisters cruise. This was the second cruise for both of us and our first time on the Victory. We choose the western Caribbean cruise since we had never been to Jamaica or the Cayman Islands.
Embarkation: Port of Miami. We flew in the morning of the cruise. It was nice to be able to check-in at the airport. We did purchase transfers through the airline. About 15 minutes after check-in, we were on our way to the port. We were at the port about 1115 am and they began boarding about 1230. Once boarding began everything went smoothly.
Service: We had great service from the stewards, waitstaff and bartenders. We met our steward on day one. Any requests we had were promptly addressed. He always spoke and asked how we enjoyed our day.
Dining: Anytime Dining. I have seen lots of reviews about the wait times and we did not experience this. We would go to dinner about 545-615 and there was never a wait. We had different waitstaff each night and they were all good. The food service was prompt and served at appropriate temperature. I enjoyed the singing and dancing of the waitstaff
Entertainment: The comedy club is a must. It is usually standing room only so go early. Loved the love and marriage, liars club, battle of the sexes and other game shows put on by the entertainment staff. There Vegas style shows were only ok.
Ports: Jamaica - I would definitely do an excursion at this port. This would not be a good port to go exploring on your own. We did an island tour and went to Bamboo beach. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. We were able to enjoy rum punch and jerk chicken. Cayman Islands ( tender port)- This port was busy due to the amount of ships in port that day. We went on the land and sea tour. We were able to see a lot of aquatic life ( sea turtles and fish) and saw much the island. This is also the port for shopping.
Disembarkation: We did self assist. The entire process went smoothly. We were back at the airport about 9am.
