This was my 11 cruise but first on the MSC Divina. It was a charter group of 3000 passengers, cabin rate were lower than past chartered cruises with Holland America (HAL) but you get what you pay for. All classes on cabin, bathroom and closes were smaller than HAL but I didn't mind because I am rarely in my cabin. The ship itself is beautiful, very well decorated expect plastic plants throughout the ship and the ship design did not flow. Entertainment decks was open to passageways so sound past from one area into another area with different entertainment and when walking around you had to walk though a show in progress. Up on deck you the outside decks did not connect, you had to go back or forward and down to only go back up to go to anywhere. Walking or jogging track was a joke, it too did not flow. Gym was very small and poor number of equipment. To go to dinner you had to go forward down and back to get to the dining room. The main dining room was in the middle of the ship so view of the outside unlike HAL it make you well like a second class citizen dining. Food (don't get me started) no where near the class of food of other ships, took 2.5 hours to be 3-4 course meal at time some at the same table were service their meal before others, some food arrived cold. Service was really bad, had to get up and get my own water several times. The ship had a lot of small up charges unheard of with HAL. Food service on deck 14 was just as bad. You could not get a continue meal from one station had to go to several stations causing many lines again did not flow. They had the same food for ever meal. Unlike HAL that had burgers to orders they had McD style premade burgers that were hard and cold in the morning no eggs to order no omelets to order. Crew Staff throughout the ship looked to be very unhappy had low moral, they looked like the walking dead. Never once came to me and asked if I like I drink, I had to hunt them down or fight the under staffed bar for a drink. Cabin steward were friendly but far over worked, they had 1 steward to many cabins he was so busy he didn't have time to do night bed turn down with candy and towel animals, I really felt bad for the guy. Lastly public bathroom, the are few had to go back to my cabin to use the bathrooms. The deco on deck 16 has not bathrooms you have to go down to deck 15 and around the corner to find it. Again poorly designed.

Cabin Review

I been on 11 cruises but this was the smallest cabin I near seen. I even saw other outside cabin that were really small so small they had no sofa or love seat or even a chair. Bathroom had the smallest vanity and shower I never seen and closes were smaller than other cruise lines showing you get what you pay for. Cabin steward were friendly but far over worked, they had 1 steward to many cabins he was so busy he didn't have time to do night bed turn down with candy and towel animals, I really felt bad for the guy.
