Sail Date: Jan 2007

My wife and I just returned from our 2nd cruise on the Caribbean Princess, Jan 20-28, 2007 (see my previous review here, 'chuck' Aug, 05);

We flew into Ft Lauderdale at noon, cleared customs, and was aboard by 2pm...embarkation was painless, the lineup was short;

Some general comparisons to our previous sailing: - unless I'm mistaken, the outdoor movie screen for the 'Movies under the Stars' has been changed and reduced in size to that of her sister ship, Grand Princess; - tiny cost cutting and revenue generating measures can been noticed: use of a continuous shuffling machine at the blackjack tables (which was already a poor 8 deck game) to squeeze out a higher house advantage and decrease downtime, cuts in dining room staff and quality/selections at the buffet and general menu; this not unexpected, seeing as how prices have not increased in the intervening 1&1/2 years;
