We had cruised on the NCL Dawn in November 2004 and had a fabulous time. The Cruise Directors, Mike and Paul were very friendly, fun, they were always around and very approachable. I have to say that of my dozen cruises, they were the best. Too bad they weren't aboard the second time around.

March 2006 - Since we had such a good time on the first cruise (and were engaged on that cruise), we decided to get married on the Dawn. Their wedding company The Wedding Experience is the worst: they are incompetent, unprofessional, and completely ignorant. They lie, withhold necessary information, change their pricing mid-way through planning, are totally uncaring and unsympathetic to any concerns, and nobody has a clue what they are doing, including the managers! They charge a fortune and don't deliver! NEVER USE THEM!! It is very unfortunate that they plan weddings on all the major cruise lines. They go by several names:. The Wedding Experience, Imagine Wedding & Events International, Royal Romance, Royal Romance Weddings, Tie the Knot Weddings, and Wedding Aisles, and if you check the BBB, you can see the complaints against them. They advertise services that they do not include and try excusing it by saying it was a typo. They also tried taking credit for my VIP status. I work in the travel industry, and I know that my contact gave me the VIP, not the Wedding Experience. The Wedding Experience was a total and complete disappointment!

We invited 65 guests to celebrate our special day. They left us all standing (not even sitting) around a dirty, hot pier for 2 hours. Since we boarded so late, I, the bride, had only 15 minutes to get ready. I was very unhappy about not having time to freshen up. Anyway, we were rushed through the entire ceremony and the short 1-hour reception. We also didn't get any decent photos of us with a nice background, and none taken outside. I had to buy photos that were pretty much a waste of time. There was only 1 decent photo that I could print and put on my wall. And you can't see my whole dress. They rushed our guests off the ship so fast that we didn't even have a chance to say goodbye and thank you to them. After the guests were gone, the crew, staff, officers, managers, and especially the Latitudes staff, all couldn't care less that we were onboard. We did not feel special on that ship at all!
