Sail Date: Jan 2014

We took back to back cruises in South America. We have traveled on over 25 cruises and these two were the worst ever! The food was terrible. There was no variety. You might as well flip a coin if you thought you were going to get a glass, ice and tea at the same time. Even though SA is known for its beef and other cuisine- we did not have one decent piece of beef on the cruise. There was no SA food. Very little seafood. Service in the dining room was very slow. In the buffet eating area they have gone to a format where you have to wait in a line until they had a table ready to seat you. They often it 4 people at a table meant for 2. The only entertainment they had was a show in the theatre on two nights and a short 10 minute show of acrobats in the centrum on three other nights. Otherwise playing "junior high" level games in the centrum and the pool was the only other entertainment. The library is pathetic.

The ship advertises that they just remodeled/redecorated in 2012. Our cabin room certainly had no improvements in it. It was the same as when we sailed on this ship during her first sailing season. Plus RCCL has some of the smallest cabins in the industry.

There are very few shore excursion available to choose from. Usually only one per port. I would recommend that you visit South America taking Princess, Oceania or Celebrity.

Cabin Review

Enough room for 3 people. Good location- close to Internet Area, Centrum, Elevators and Stairs
