Sail Date: Feb 2014

We were 2 ladies on the cruise to celebrate a 70th birthday. I previously sailed Carnival twice in the Mediterranean and Princess in Alaska.

Embarkation was a nightmare. The ship was coming out of dry dock and supposedly there were immigration issues getting all the workers off the ship. We didn't board til after 3. They ended up giving a everyone a $15 OBC to spend on lunch. I was already in the terminal and checked in by 11a.m, but I heard stories from people standing on lines outside for hours.

The crew I encountered were all friendly and happy. We had anytime dining, and never waited on line more than 5 or 10 minutes. I thought the food was very good. One night I didn't like the breaded shrimp, sent it back and got some very good mahi. I did eat fish 4 nights and liked it all. On the birthday, we went to the steakhouse and in was amazingly good. I had the NY strip, my friend had the filet. Definitely worth the extra cost. I lived in New York and Chicago, so I've been to good steak houses before and this was right up there.

Cabin Review

We were in between lifeboats and could see out, which was a plus to me. The French door can be propped open a few inches for fresh air. For an interior price, it can't be beat.
