Ship Facts: Carnival Legend Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Legend Deck Plans
Great time on the Legend

We left on the Legend Sunday February 16th. Embarkation was very slow due to the ship just back from dry dock. The only changes we noticed was New Water Park - 2 large slides - and Serenity was updated.

The Vista Suite cabin #5266 was great with lots of storage space and the balcony had 2 loungers plus other tables and chairs. Our cabin steward "Adolf" was awesome - one of the best we have had (this was our 10th cruise). Since the cabin is located aft, was concerned about noise - vibration - but there was very little noise - actually a quite area.

The Main Dining Room food was hit or miss but the service was great. We eat several times in the Steakhouse - worth the $35 pp each time. The Caesar Salad was one of the best I have had on any ship and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The buffet was good and set up nice. Did not have to wait long in any lines. The area is very large and there was never a problem finding a table (even during peck times).

The weather was great. The port on Roatan Island Mahogany Bay was beautiful and very clean (only 3 years old). The day was beautiful - around 80. Took the Dolphin Swim & Snorkel - Anthony's Key Resort and had a fantastic time... On Belize took the Altun Ha Mayan Site and Rive Wallace tour and it was good. Enjoyed going down the river after lunch - cooled us off. On Cozumel took the Ancient Culture/Mayan Ruins and Island sightseeing. The ruins were on Cozumel, so we did not have the long travel time. The ruins are small but authentic ( have not bee restored) and our guide Gabriel was great - told us a lot about Mayan history throughout the tour. If you are looking for large pyramids / ruins to climb, need to go to the mainland. The Grand Caymans were a bust and I do not recommend the Explore Cayman by Land & Sea tour. This was very rushed and the "Hell" stop is a jock. The Turtle farm should be closed down by the PETA. The only good part of tour was the ride in the "Nautilus".

Overall, the crew on the Legend are great - everyone smiled and spoke to you. The ship is clean and well maintained. I would cruise on the Legend again.
