I'll keep this simple, because there are lots of detailed Reflection reviews out there. This was our 15th cruise, so I'll compare it to other Holland America, Princess and Royal Caribbean ships. The Reflection had nicer public areas and seemed to be better maintained than other major large ships, with the exception of the Allure, which was just as clean and nice. The Reflection had above-average food in the specialty restaurants, but the main dining room was "as expected" for daily meals. The clientele is similar to Royal Caribbean - mostly passengers from the northeast and from overseas.

The bathrooms are not as nice as Holland America in the balcony rooms, but better than Princess and RC, especially the shower area. The storage in the rooms is not as ample or accessible as either of the other three lines - no drawers on side tables or shelving in closet area. I left several items in the over-the-bed storage area, and called before the ship even left port to claim them, but was informed that they "usually just throw clothing away." Later received a call that the items were not found. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

Also, with Celebrity, there is no private island in the Caribbean, so it's an extra sea-day (good or bad, depending upon your preference). Read more
