Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
This was our first cruise. We chose Royal Princess because it was new and the larger commons area.
All I can say is that the ship is great. We spoke with several other couples that cruise a lot and the consensus was that it was one of the nicest ships floating. I see a lot of complaints that the cabin balcony was small, but it was functional, 2 people in chairs can sit easily and have a drink.
The cabin sizes were from what we hear a tad small, but ours was functional, we had room to unpack everything out of the way. The tv on the wall was large. Bed was comfortable. Room stewards were efficient and attentive. My two complaints is that was no central staircase, there was one on each end.
There were 6 elevators in the center of ship, and a staircase that covered 3 levels of the central atrium, the elevators were slow, we had a lot of wait times, we ended up walking to either end to use stairs as it was usually faster.
Overall the ship was run very More efficiently.
The food in the horizon buffet was excellent and so was the formal dining area food.
The movies under the stars was great.
The hot tubs were just tubs of water. Not hot at all.
Embarkation and debarkation were very efficient. Less

TV was large and nice. balcony was smaller from what other cruisers said but it was large enough for us to sit out and enjoy coffiee and sunshine.Bed was very comfortable. Overall it was fine for the amount of time we spent in the room.
