I just got off of the Feb. 15 sailing out of New Orleans. Arrived at the port about 12 noon, dropped our large pieces of luggage at the terminal and drove to parking. I was expecting to park in a garage but it was in an open lot. We had to pull our carry on across the lot, semi-paved, and across railroad tracks. not too bad then, killer when you also have the large pieces on return. Could be improved.
Boarding was as smooth as could be considering I misplaced our sailing papers, we found them later in another piece of luggage. We were still on board in less than 45 minutes. My bad on that one. We waited to eat because the cabins were ready at 1:00. Dropped our carry-ons off in the cabin (8640), went to eat a bite, had lifeboat drill, explored some of the ship, went back to the cabin for sail away and started a very good vacation. 2 days at sea, 3 port stops, one more day at sea and back to New Orleans.
Good points:
As far as cruise ship cabins, this was spacious well laid out and had plenty of storage for clothes and your luggage. I liked the location. Not too far from the elevators, but far enough away that you did get the noise and loud music from the centrum. Room stewardess Laura was great and we worked out a simple plan to let her know when we were out of the cabin. The do not disturb & make room now signs. She did towel animals on nights 2 -6. Would I book this cabin again, Yes!!!!!!!
