Having sailed Celebrity for the past few years but longing to return to try Princess again we chose the Ruby out of Ft Lauderdale. We were NOT disappointed.
A little wear and tear and some refinishing on the railings was all we could see. The food and service more than made up for it. We did not eat in any prime restaurants but we did anytime dining in Michaelangelo and made that our dining room every night. Service was above the norm and food arrived hot and great every night! The choices were plentiful. Same goes for the buffet upstairs.
Average mid ship room. Love Princess closets!!! Bed was comfortable but the pillows were not great. Did not like that there is not a sheet between the comforter and passenger. Shower is too small but manageable. Need hooks on wall between door and bedroom (we bring our own). Cabin clean. And we did see people smoking below us although they say NO SMOKING. Aloha deck was perfect.
Our cabin steward was very nice but we did not see him but once the whole cruise and while disembarking. He kept the room clean and we did not have to ask for anything. The robes were VERY worn and not worth even asking for (who could they fit, a small child?).
The bar staff was great and the entertainment was good.
What more could we ask for? Thank you Ruby for a great cruise.
Having been to Cozumel many times we decided to just walk around and have lunch. We ate lunch at Pancho's Porch? (memory fades me). Would go back there just for the guacamole! No real bargains. Found Cozumel to be mostly dirty, sorry to say.
Went to 7 Mile Beach. Loved it! Have been to Cayman's a few times and never went to the beach so we spent the day at the beach. The weather was perfect and so was the water. No complaints!!!! It was terrific. Tender back and forth was easy and staff great!
