My girlfriend and I just got back from our 5 day cruise aboard the Elation and we were very pleased. We booked around 45 days in advance and received a great upgrade from Carnival as a promotion. We got a room with a large window instead of an interior room. The room was small but not cramped. The bed was comfortable and everything appeared to be clean. Our cabin steward Pemayun was awesome and took care of any need we had. I didn't inspect the room with a fine tooth comb for blemishes or defects like some of the other reviewers must have. I say for the price it was very well worth it. And face it, you didn't come on a cruise to spend all week shut up in your room. The only complaint with the cabin or living quarters is it would be nice if their was a drink station on each deck so you didn't have to go all the way to the Lido deck to get tea or lemonade. We chose the our time dining and ate in the Imagination every night. We didn't set in the same place every night but Corina was our waitress three of the five nights. Her attitude left a lot to be desired. Other than her attitude, the service and food were great! It just seemed to have taken a little long to be served. The lido deck buffet was ok. Typical buffet food and waiting. We ordered room service a couple of times and it was very fast and good. We watched several shows onboard and the entertainment is great. The comedians were very funny as well. We did the Corona Beach Party in Progreso. Alan was our tour guide. He was great. He was very knowledgable of the area and entertaining on the bus ride to and from the ship. The beach was very beautiful and there was more than enough cold drinks! The restaurant there had great food, reasonably priced and free wifi! We went to Passion Island in Cozumel. The island was beautiful and peaceful. The buffet was great and all the drinks were good and cold. The only complaint is that the vendors seemed to haggle you if you got close to their market area. The catamaran ride back to the port took longer than expected and we weren't left with any time to shop at the market. We only had 5 minutes to make it from the pier through the city back to the ship. We purchased the faster to the fun and were on the ship by 11:00 and our bags were already outside our room. We were off the ship and leaving the parking garage by 8:05. All of the crew and staff aboard the boat were friendly and helpful. I spent quite a bit of time in the casino and all the dealers were very friendly. All in all it was a great time and I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. I don't know that you can beat it for the price. Where else can you go and stay and eat for $250 for 5 days and take in entertainment included? You can't!! If you're not into fun or you're looking for a 5 star resort, this probably isn't the cruise or ship for you. I saw none of the defects or problems that other reviewers have spoken of but I wasn't inspecting with a microscope. We'd take this cruise again tomorrow if we could!

Cabin Review

Very nice and tidy. Small but not cramped.
