Disney really is the greatest cruise line out there. We sailed from Miami for the 5 night cruise from 2/16-2/21.
Embarkation was a breeze. Be sure to reserve your time when you do your online registration...the earlier the better. Be sure to pack a day bag with your bathing suits and sunscreen. You will be able to get into your room at 1:30, but your luggage may not be there yet. Go up to the pool and hang out.
The Sail away party is great. So much fun with the characters and the cruise director staff. Everyone dances and has a great time.
The food was fabulous. The rotational dining is very cool. The waitstaff travel with you and really make an effort to know you and the family. Our waiters Bruno and Tomo were OUTSTANDING...They were so great with the kids and knew exactly what we would all want to eat by the 3rd night. They engaged with the kids and it was so much fun.
The food by the pool was fine...typical pool food...hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, pizza and of course ice cream and soda fountains...Room Service was very good as well.
The ship is beautiful. The pools are kept in excellent condition and the service is second to none.
The character meetings are done expeditiously and seamlessly. The kids didn't miss meeting any of them.
Oceaneer Club and Lab were also amazing.
Debarkation was also a breeze, although sad. They organize you by disney character tags and call them as they want you to exit. Once off the ship, there is a large carousel with your luggage. Customs is quick.
We exited the ship at 8:00 and were in a taxi by 8:30.
We actually booked another cruise while on board. They offer 10% off and a stateroom credit for the next cruise. Very worth it if you know you will be going again. Plus, the deposit is FULLY refundable.
