Sail Date: Feb 2014

This was our 2nd Princess cruise, the first being in the Mediterranean 3 yrs ago on sister ship Star Princess.

It was a very smooth sail for us. Just a little rough the first night and the last. Otherwise the Pacific was just that...peaceful. The ship was clean and the rubber mat on our balcony was looking new. I only heard of a cabin in which a pipe leaked during the cruise.

Great cruise with 9 sea days filled with activities. Cruise Director, Dan and AsstCD Kez had great chemistry. The Wake Show every morning was very hilarious and full of info. The rest of the staff also put in lots of work with Bingo, Trivia and the many other contests with all the sea days to fill.

Cabin Review

We had a port side balcony cabin on deck 10, aft. On the port side, we got to see the sunrise on the way to HI and got full afternoon sun on the way back. On the port side while in SF, you look out to the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. The balconies are larger on deck 10 and 1/2 of it is covered. You are able to look down into the full balcony of deck 9. Consequently, since deck 10 balconies are partially covered, decks 11 and 12 are able to look down onto the outer section of your balcony. Decks 11 and 12 balconies are fully covered but not as large as the deck 10 balcony. Although we did not have the rough seas as described in previous reviews I found that being mid ship during those times helped a lot. Second best was being aft and worse was being forward...where the Princess Theater was located.Cabin was clean, beds were comfy and balcony good size. New blue rubber mats were inplace. Sliding door was heavy and tough to slide but it seemed more secure that way. There are two plugs at the desk. I would suggest bringing a two prong extension cord that has multiple female ports at the other end. There is a electric outlet in the bathroom but only for shaver. I could not use my hair clipper in there. Liquid soap and shampoo is supplied in the shower. There is a retractable cord in the shower to hand light clothing to dry. We usually bring a clear plastic shoe holder and hang on the bathroom door and fill with our bathroom items. Makes it easy to find. There are three small shelves to hold some bathroom items above the sink. There is a safe that an Ipad mini will fit in. Use your own 4 number code to lock. Lots of hangers in the hanging area. Regular size suit cases will fit under hanger clothes or under the bed. Cabin stewards do a fantastic job with keeping the bath clean and well stocked, making/turning down the beds daily and making sure things are OK.
