The embarkation was smooth and organized.
Our room was mid-ship with a fake window, not sure what the purpose of a curtain over a recessed area was. Upon entering our bathroom there was obvious dried urine(?) on the floor in front of the toilet, luckily we had antibacterial wipes with us.
There was no heat in our room, only a/c. So whenever we were in our room we were under not only a sheet and comforter but 2 blankets as well.
The room in general needed updating. There were dings and scratches on wood surfaces and even a postcard size area on the wall where the laminate was missing.
One evening our steward did not make up our room and we had to call to get the itinerary for the next day.
The buffet food was just ok. Nothing that ever made us say, "Wow, that's good!".
The dining room had excellent food and our servers were exceptional, especially Percival (sp)!
The remainder of the ship was in good shape and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We felt safe at each port we stopped at. The presentation in the Mikado prior to arrival was very helpful.
Debarkation was smooth and organized.
The recommendation from the ship's presentation to be taken to the Market Forum was very helpful. I appreciated that most of the vendors did not "stalk" us after we would tell them "no, thank you" when they invited us into their store. We got all of our souvenirs at this port. It was clean and we felt safe.
There was free transportation to Progreso from the ship. After we got past all the vendors to the public beach, it was lovely. There were also some vendors that approached while we were enjoying the sun but none of them were intrusive.
