My First Cruise

Sail Date: February 2014
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Galveston

Traveled with family and in-laws.had three rooms. First time

Very relaxing, excellent food service and staff at the London lounge as we ate there every night. Great pizza on the lido deck.

Breakfast gets hectic on Lido deck, suggest to take your breakfast in the Paris lounge, or better yet order continental from room service the night before (don't forget $2 tip for the server).

There is plenty of water fountains on Lido deck so just take a refillable container with a cap, no need to take water bottles (as we learned). Ice tea and various juices as available on many dispensers on Lido deck.

Plenty of hot water and tea and coffee.

On shore excursions, fill up your refillable cup and take it with you rather than pay $$$ for water sold by carnival as you exit the ship or return back. ($4.25 for 1 liter bottle.)

Take advantage of the formal night photo shoots, very nice background and reasonable prices compared to a professional More gallery photo shoot (you are dressed for the formal night anyway).

Suggest to purchase the faster to the fun pass - well worth the price. Less

Cabin review: Carnival Triumph Balcony Upper 6363

There is a stench of raw sewage when you enter the hallway starting from cabin 6281 to 6375, that after a while you get used to it. No smell in the cabins. We had 3 rooms all on 6th floor starboard Balcony 8B category and this was the worst, because of the arrangement and also because it sits right above where the music is played in the casino below which was very loud (after all ships are made of steel). The noise was lower in 6339 about 6 doors away and it died completely in 6331.
