Ship Facts: Celebrity Solstice Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Celebrity Solstice Deck Plans

First of all, after reading some recent reviews it was hard to believe we were even on the same ship, to each his own as they say but I did find some statements very hard to swallow...

We loved the ship, we loved every aspect of this beautiful cruise ship, the spotless stateroom, they were cleaning everywhere day and night, the on board service and yes we even loved the food...

There were 6 of us travelling we chose Concierge Class and enjoyed the few extras, was it worth it, yes to us it was worth every penny, Solstice delivered and delivered it well...

Our Stateroom attendants were a true delight, we did not want for a thing and the Stateroom was always spotless and clean. Our location was aft and we so enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets from this location on deck 9. We would gather for pre dinner drinks every night in the Ensemble Lounge, the waiters were a delight, we were greeted each night by our first names and the drinks were memorised from day one, a simple nod and the drinks were replenished immediately...

We did not dine in any of the speciality restaurants, we found Gran Epernay created a lovely atmosphere and our table waiter Ronald delightful, we did not want for a thing, in actual fact the food just kept coming and we enjoyed trying many of their new dishes...

For breakfast/lunch we chose the Garden Café on most mornings, great variety of foods, fresh fruit was plentiful service was always with a smile, a nibble on piece of fresh Pizza for a late lunch and yes on some port days it was a little crowded but nothing to really complain about...

We enjoyed all the ports, we chose to do our own thing and we were most satisfied, one sort of rough day on the crossing to Hobart but the ship handled it well, Officers were always willing to greet you and we thought Ian was a delight, the man never stops...on board shows and entertainment to suit all tastes and yes maybe some were better than others but it is all about enjoying, relaxing and having a bit of fun...

I felt sad to read that some people had had such a dreadful time or found everything to be mediocre, we smiled a lot we respected and acknowledged the crew who do work tirelessly we salute you and thank you Celebrity for delivering us a cruise of a lifetime...

We look forward to boarding again in 2015...
