Our problems started with the airport to ship transfer. We had prepaid ( a party of 6 ). Our names were not on the list to board the transfer, after much going back and forth we we're allowed to board. Whe. We arrived at our cabin, the key would not work, back to stand in another line. Once in our room, the air conditioner was not working. 24 hours later, 4 phone calls, one trip to the front desk, and 2 repairmen, we finally had air. I have been on 10 plus cruises, this was by far the worst food I have ever had on a cruise. The best thing we could find to eat was room service pizza which came with a 3.00 charge. The last tonight we ate in the dining room, I had the lamb. It was so tough I could not even cut it, at all! When the waiter came over he explained it was the cut of meat I ordered that I should expect it not to be tender.....hmmmm, it was the only lamb on the menu, if I had a choice of tender or tough lamb which one do you think I would have ordered? The head waiter came over apologized and offered to prepare another entree just as everyone else was ordering desert. I ate in the buffet 3 times, it was worse than any lunchroom food I have ever had.
The was a clothes dryer fire in the early morning, I heard the announcement for the crew to come to deck 2. They did not say anything about a fire, etc. I got up walked out on the balcony, I immediately smelled smoke, as did the lady one floor above who was also on the deck. I called the front desk, they assured me everything was fine but sent someone to our room to investigate, In a condescending manner he proceeded to tell me I had not smelled smoke, that there was no way I smelled smoke. Keep in mind at this point I had no idea there was a dryer fire.
On a good note, our steward Kim was great. Room service was always hot and fast. I liked the coffee bar and the light snacks they served there. The outdoor movie theater was nice and we enjoyed the popcorn.
The mini suite was spacious, and clean. We had a great cabin steward, room service was always prompt.
