I tried Celebrity Solstice and Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas and I was very happy with the overall package. This is not what I expected from NCL. In every way, it was the worst cruise I've been on (again, this was only my 3rd cruise)

Cabin - Balcony was by far the smallest. My problem was the cabin was making squeaking noise as the ship was moving. It was like an old wooden stairs that was making noise non-stop. This drove me crazy once it got into my head and had hard time sleeping. I'm not a sensitive sleeper but once it gets in your head, it's hard to ignore.

Food - Food was just ok. Most of them were salty but it was ok for me. After 4th day, I started getting sick of the food because it was the same thing over and over again. The main dining was the most disappointing. I asked for medium rare, and it was medium well. Once my wife asked how the veal dish comes and the waitress said it was breaded cutlet type with sauce. When she got it, it was a pasta dish and it was horrible. The pasta was soggy and the meat was like rubber. We asked to change the dish because this was not what we expected and they were not happy and was fairly rude.
