This was our third cruise with Celebrity. We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We stopped in St. Croix, St. Kitts, Dominica, Granada, and St. Thomas. Our previous cruises were over 8 years ago so we were a little "rusty". The Summit is similar to The Constellation and The Millinium and we sailed on those ships in the past. The Summit is still a nice ship and is able to dock in some of the smaller ports which we like.
The public areas are well maintained and clean. We were on deck 8 in the Concierege Class so we got a few extra amenities such as canapes every afternoon. We took advantage of a Celebrity Promotion and received a free drink package which we really enjoyed.
I do have a few criticisms, however. I was disappointed in the food. I would say it was just average. We ate in the Cosmopolitan (main dining room) every night. Some of the food was not very good. Our waiter and his assistant were o.k. but did not make any special effort. I believe Celebrity was once know for its excellent food. Perhaps it is now only served in the Specialty Restaurants.
This room was o.k. Not very large but good location and quiet.
