This was my 4th cruise with Carnival and I have to say the other 3 were wonderful. However, this one was a nightmare from the minute we opened our door. We were welcomed my the aroma of what smelt like a litter box in our room 6105 , when we opened the bathroom door the smell ripened to a musty, stale, mold filled germ infested urine hole !! The room steward did a fantastic job preparing the room but it wouldn't matter how much he cleaned the musty mold smell is under the surface of the shower, floor and carpet.

We felt terrible to complain since we were on a wonderful Caribbean Vacation and leaving -21 below 0 weather and 3 feet of snow but the smell in our room was too much ( We meaning my travel friend and our friends who had 6106 booked. There room had the same odour in it and the tiles lifting and cracked all over there bathroom) The 4 of us were told the ship was full and there was nothing they could do except clean our rooms again !! Somehow the next day 2 rooms become available, one on the forward end of deck 1 and the other one the after end of deck 2. ( nice and close like before LOL) we didn't care where they were as long as they didn't have a smell.

On day 3 of our cruise we were still discussing our dissatisfaction of our $12.50 room credit for OUR inconvenience , we were told that there weren't any other complaints regarding must or mold smells. Until I said We have read other reviews and it was clarified she was referring directly to rooms 6105 and 6106.. I was glad that was clarified.. After that another 12.50 $$$ was added to our room credits .. We were grateful after all it was almost enough for a bucket of beer.... Read more
