Very poor food and service.

Sail Date: January 2014
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Tampa

We took the Carnival Legend January 26 for a long seven days. We have been on several Carnival ships prior to taking the Legend.

The food in the main dining room was the generally poor and cold. The service was also very slow - just getting your coffee cup filed was a chore. The servers seemed to just disappear. After the first day the breakfast menu in the main dining room shrank and was always the same limited selection for the rest of the cruise.

After three days my wife and I gave up completely on the main dining room and just ate off of the buffet and pizza bar. Finally we discovered that you could get pre-made sandwiches from the serenity bar that were small but ok.

Getting off the ship was almost complete confusion. But going through the confusion and getting off the ship made the effort worth it.

On a positive side our cabin was kept clean, We had an extended balcony cabin Unfortunately the veranda only had one straight back chair and one More adjustable chair with no foot rest. - so it was not really comfortable for both of us to use the veranda for any length of time.

Of the many cruises we have been on this is the first time I would have gotten off early if possible. Less

Cabin review: Carnival Legend

Cabin was kept clean but veranda furniture was Spartan.
