We went on a 14 day eastern/western Caribbean cruise on January 5. Did not know when I booked this that it was going to have Dancing With the Stars professionals and shows onboard but thrilled that it did. It was absolutely fabulous. HAL has a winner with this. Cannot say enough good things about the talent and venues available. Have been on over 20 cruises on a variety of lines and this by far was the best.
I do want to thank the customer service staff for dealing with somewhat unpleasant shipmates. At a lot of the DWTS events people were saving seats and were really just unkind to others. Very nicely, the cruise director and staff let people know that saving many seats for an hour before the event was not acceptable. They did a good job of diffusing this problem.
Had a great room on the Panorama deck/10. It was a good location and a very nice room.
Food and service were excellent onboard. Staff is kind, pleasant and helpful at all times.
Ate at the Italian restaurant onboard and would recommend.
Attended the Microsoft classes . John the instructor was excellent.
Cruise director Eric Dowis deserves recognition. He was very funny with the DWTS events.
Also did one of the culinary events but couldn't fit the one in the 2nd week.
They show a movie in the movie theatre daily. Venue is small so get there on the early side.
They have dvds at the front desk also if you want to watch a movie in the room.
Ports all good. Liked the eastern Caribbean better but did enjoy going to Key West on the 2nd half of cruise.
Nice touch at the end of the cruise to have cruise director and a variety of staff people lined up to thank you for choosing HAL and safe journey home.
Terrific cruise and HAL will see me again.
