We are a couple in our our early fifties and have cruised with princess 11 previous times. We booked this cruise in November as a quick getaway from the frigid northeast cold this year. We generally take 10 - 14 day cruises and we were somewhat skeptical of how the service on a short five day would compare to the longer cruises.

On embarkation day we met with Maitre'd Nicola Furlan and we requested a table at 7:30. To our suprise we were assigned an excellant waiter (Dominic) whom we have had on two previous cruises and Jr. waiter (Tatiana). The supervising head waiter (Francesco) was aslo know to us from previous cruises. Our entire wait staff provided an exceptional dining experience each night. The menu has changed somewhat on the shorter cruises, no lobster or beef wellington. Our room was on lido deck 15 and our room steward (Angelo) was very efficient and kept our room in good shape throughout the cruise. We visited Princss Cays and Grand Turk, Did not get off the ship at princess cays for no particular reason other than we like to relax on the ship sometimes during this stop. We had a very fun time in Grand Turk at margaritaville near the swim up bar with a group from the Fort Meyers area. Entertainment was very good. We saw the show Colors of the World which we really enjoyed. We love to dance and really enjoyed the british band Atomic. We also enjoyed listening to Piano vocalist Tommy McPhee in Croners. The ships crew was always out spurcing things up and the ship appeared to be well kept. Just one annoyance when we were back by the sanctaury poolone day, there was a terrible sewage odor emanating from some drains by the pool (possibly a dry trap). The crew was notified and the next day the ordor was gone. All in all a nice short cruise. Looking forward to our 10 day on the Emerald in March.
