Sail Date: Jan 2014

My wife and I have been on more than twenty five cruises. We have sailed on almost every cruise line over the years. Last year, we decided to take a cruise on the Norwegian Cruise Line because it left from our home city of New York and thus we wouldn't have the hassle of having to get to the airport and flying to the ship's port.

We sailed on the NCL Jewel, and it was one of the best cruise experiences we have ever had. The ship was lovely, the staff was attentive and polite, and the food was the best that we had ever been served at sea.

This year, hoping to duplicate that experience, we booked a cruise on the newest NCL ship, "The Breakaway." NCL should have christened the ship the "Break&Wait" instead. If your idea of a vacation is waiting on line for over an hour to eat a meal, then this is the ship for you. It makes the wait for a ride at Disneyworld during high season pale by comparison.

Cabin Review

Smallest balcony at sea.
