Our party consisted of my wife and I, our 18 month old daughter, along with my wife's parents. This was my 3rd cruise, my wife's 9th, and her parent's 10th cruise. While my experience was only with Princess previously, my wife and her parents have sailed with Princess, Carnival and Celebrity. This was our first sailing with Royal Caribbean.

We did not stay at hotels wither prior or after the cruise. We arrived into Ft. Lauderdale from Boston using Jet Blue on the day of departure. We highly recommend Jet Blue, as they had excellent service with friendly staff and great seats. We booked our own transfers to get to the port of Miami. Ace Tours was very good, with courteous drivers, and nice air-conditioned vans.

Embarkation We arrived at the port early, and waited in line for a bit. However, we cannot blame RCI, as we were told that embarkation would be at 2 pm. However, once the line got moving, it was a great process. We were impressed with how smoothly we checked in. Our stateroom was ready and waiting for us. As we dropped off our bags in the room, I checked the time, and saw that it was 2:15! So far, so good.
