Besides the rude lady directing us to the proper line saying to one of our group members Do you understand English ( rude lady barely spoke English) getting on the boat was a breeze.
The rooms were ready at 1pm just like they said and there was food to be had.
The boat itself is a marvel, it is just huge and with that said it was fun trying to see the whole thing in one week. I would highly recommend if you are going with a group of friends and family to bring 2-way radios as once you leave your friends it is like playing the world largest game of hide and seek to find them again. One thing we started to do was leave notes on our room doors as to where we would be and this helped.
The shows were all great and like every other reviewer says, book the shows online as soon as you can. One thing I noticed was the late night shows always had open seats.
The service in the MDR was fantastic and with us being a party of 10 everything went great and our servers may have been the best I have ever experienced.
All of us agreed that the room service was poor and the cleanliness of our rooms was poor compared to past cruises we had been on. We were all on the same floor and shared two different attendants but we all had some issues. On the first day of the cruise I noticed a clear plastic trash bag under my bed with sheets that had yellow and red stains on them and asked them to be removed but after 7 days they were still there. With all the recent cases of norovirus you would think this would not happen.
One of the parties with us booked the room as two beds and it stated this on the reservation but when they arrived at the room it was set as 1 queen so they called the attendant and they were told that they could not fix the bed until tomorrow. The call to get this fixed was placed at 2:30pm the day arrival. Totally unacceptable. They split the bed themselves and the next day when the attendant saw this it was like she saw a ghost. I could keep going on about our room issues but to sum it up our rooms were not cleaned properly all week.
Although the service in the MDR was superb the food was not. Most nights the food was not warm and the steaks should be avoided at all costs. Try the Park Cafe for the salad and roast beef you will eat there the rest of the week it was that good.
Getting off the boat was a joke, there are two exits off of the boat, one in the rear and one in the middle if you are told to use the middle exit when you get off you have a guy yelling to go to the end of the line which is at the rear of the boat but this line never ends as people keep getting in line from their point of exit. They should run a ribbon line down the middle of this gangway to separate the two exit points.
Lastly, The WOW factor.
If you have ever been to a Bj's, Costco or Sam's club you have come across the people that roam the stores trying to sell you home repairs or free knives and such. This is exactly what they do on this cruise line times three. To be told we are lucky to have Chicago and all of the shows for free on the cruise was really annoying, Did they forget that we all paid thousands of dollars to go on this cruise? I cruise every year and have never seen this before until this year.
My definition of WOW is "Whip Out the Wallet"
