Sail Date: Jan 2014

My husband and sailed with 2 other family members and 2 close friends on the Breeze Jan. 4, 2014. It was our 6th cruise on Carnival but our first on the newest of their ships the Breeze. All I can say is it was very disappointing. Up until this time we would not consider going on another line. The ship itself is bigger but not necessarily better. It décor of the ship seem "cheap". Gone are all the marble staircases in the atrium replaced by carpeted stairs. Many other areas have the marble tile replaced by what looks like a vinyl tile. The ship was not that clean compared with the other we have been on. The food was quality was horrible in the dining room and on the lido buffet. Never have I saw people in the main dining room sending their food back because it was not good like they were on this sailing. The only bright spot in the food was "Guy's Burgers" and the C-side BBQ. The new styles shows were awful. Carnival can call it new but what they really should call it is "cheap". You have a big TV screen with 8 singer/dancers. Gone is the orchestra and the team of 16 or so dancers and the male and female singers. That change probably cut 20 -25 jobs for the shows.

We have gone from loyal Carnival cruisers to thinking maybe it is time to check out another line after this ship.

Cabin Review

The cabin was small but nice enough.
