We left Galveston on Thursday for a 4 day cruise to Cozumel. Embarkation was easy. Our room was ready shorly after we got on board and luggage arrived early. We unpacked and went to the Lido deck to wait for the ship to leave port.
Our room was an inside cabin #2391, relatively close to the elevators. The room was ok, small but we don't spend much time in there anyway. The very worst thing was it was right below the galley, which during the day wasn't bad but at night OMG, HORRIBLE. They begin slinging metal around at about 2 in the morning and it continues for hours. It sounded like there was a roller derby going on above the ceiling. Do not ever get that room if you don't want to be up all night long.
Cozumel was ok. The water in the pools at the resort we went to was so cold you couldn't stay in it. We shopped a little but if you plan to buy antibiotics there, make certain you have a presciption. There are some places that will sell it without one but you have to pay cash. Those places are downtown and not at the pier.
Our next cruise will be in the fall and never again in January. I like warm water to swim in!
