We booked this cruise at a week's notice and got a very good deal, especially as we booked our own flights and just paid the cruise only price. We were very dubious about what to expect as many reviews from British travellers were quite negative. However, after seeing the way some of them behaved and especially those who refused to pay any gratuities whatsoever, we felt quite embarrased and even ashamed of our nationality as it is only the Brits who seem to refuse to pay gratuities unlike the rest of the Europeans who cruise. The treatment on board from all of the staff is exceptional, and we have regularly cruised with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

The ship is a perfect size, not too big, and all areas are spotlessly clean. The drinks package is extremely good value the entertainment first class and the food and service in the restaurant fine. We were a little disappointed with the hotness of the food in the buffet on deck 11, but that is a minor gripe.

Overall we had one of the best cruises ever and thoroughly recommend the MSC Armonia. Do not be put off by negative reviews from folks who probably don't know how to behave on a cruise especially those who expect the earth and then refuse to pay any gratuities to the very professional and hard working staff.
