Excellence yet Again !

Sail Date: January 2014
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Once again Celebrity has exceeded our expectations with their cruise package. MDR meals were superb with a wide variety of selections to siut any palate. I tend to like to try different things, like Osso Bucco, while my wife is a little more reserved and sticks with things she knows, like chicken. Both these were varied enough that no one gets bored even with 14 meals to prepare. The variety of appetizers will make your head spin. Cherries Jubilee, Baked Alaska, lemongrass sorbet will finish off any meal in style.

The variety of entertainment was especially noteworthy, what with 5 days total (2-1-2) at sea. Everyone should make a point to see at least one glass blowing demonstration too. A noticeable lack of younger generation cruisers was expected since not everyone can get a two week break, but the baby boomers kept things lively and interesting the entire voyage. Celebrity's drink package program is well worth the investment especially with their 1-2-3 go promotion. I More would highly recommend Celebrity to anyone considering a cruise to the Caribbean.

Make the effort to try to arrange the angled verandas when booking, as the increased deck space is noteworthy, especially if you plan to spend any time sitting outdoors. The view forward is slightly obscured, but the aft view is increased, due to the "hump". It is the perfect spot to have your morning coffee. Less
