We were very happy with Port Everglades. With 7 ships in port it was very organized and easy to get on and off. The ship is beautiful, well maintained and polished. Most of the staff lacks charisma, with the exception of Rich, the cruise director, and Marvin, the activities manager. Our balcony cabin was nice but out stateroom attendant was not very engaging and we basically said hi in passing.

The food was good but the service was mediocre. Our waiter was a dud but thank heavens for our assistant waiter Ljubica. She was a delight. There were no dishes that wowed me, all were just good. I will compliment Royal on their diligence in managing chair hogs. We saw several "saved" chairs made available by the deck staff and several people confronted and told that saving chairs would not be tolerated.

The entertainment was fantastic. The cast did an excellent job with Saturday Night Fever. Belize was a dump and the tender was long, but cave tubing is a must, one of the best excursions we have ever done. Just a note that in Belize if you do not book an excursion with the ship it will be 10:30 before you get to shore, on the early side. Cozumel was wonderful, we love going there. Noochi Cocom is the best place on the beach in my opinion. We will return. Debarkation was fast and easy, kudos to Port Everglades. I thought it was much quicker than Port Canaveral. We will probably not do Liberty again. We will give Independence a try but Freedom remains our favorite Freedom Class ship.
