Ship Facts: Thomson Celebration Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Thomson Celebration Deck Plans
not really celebrating !!!!

7th cruise with thomsons on various ships over the years.

ship: our room was 3 floors up and it felt like the engine was in there with us. didnt sleep at night because the faster we went the noisier it got .where ever you went on the ship you never got away from the constant vibration.

Trips : tend to try and sleep through the day when engine at its quietest so only got off to walk round ports a couple of times. cabin: clean and modern.

Food: had good food and service in meridian restaraunt. lido buffet was also good and clean.

Bars: good service and staff very knowlegable with cocktails and drinks .

Entertainment: these guys are the saving grace for Thomsons, absolutely fantastic. from the compares to the dancers to the singers and the bands, excellent!!. captains night was a farce, even the captain didnt turn up. norovirus was active on board, staff were run ragged cleaning constantly. The last night was a total farce there was no information about cases, vacating rooms and bus transfers until about 1am when a note was pushed under your door. not very good for the few that where already in bed. [ i should be so lucky!]

just when you think they cant extract any more of your hard earned cash , we paid for 2 bottles of water and snacks on the plane which amounted to £ 4.50 acceptable. we paid in euros and where charged nearly double. we were told the exchange rate was 1.56 but on checking it was nearer 1.80 to the £. conclusion of this trip is : if or when the entertainment crew get head hunted by another company , i`ll cruise with them.
