Ship Facts: Liberty of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Liberty of the Seas Deck Plans
MEH, Not as great as we had hoped.

Hi. My boyfriend and I just got back from our cruise on Liberty of the Seas. We stopped in Falmouth Jamaica & Labdee Haiti from Fort Lauderdale. We rarely can take the time to go on vacation so we were literally counting down the days until we left. Port Everglades is a 5 minute cab ride from airport. We took a shuttle for 11 dollars each. I would definitely recommend this rather than waiting for a cab which was a long line & more expensive. We arrived at the port, and it was really painless. Waited in line & boarded the ship within an hour even though the line seemed long. We wished we had single dollar bills because they expect tips when they take your bag to put on the boat for you. Definitely make sure you pack a backpack because you're not guaranteed to get your luggage back until 8 pm. We got to the ship around 12 pm, but were not aloud in our room til around 4pm. So it was a lot of walking around @ first. Ship was beautiful, clean, lots of cool rooms & things to do. Overall the food was terrible. SO BAD. The only great meal we had was at CHOP't ( a speciality restaurant you pay extra for). Windjammer is truly terrible at lunch especially. But the dining room isn't much better.. although the bread, and the dessert was amazing. We both gained weight on the boat bc the only edible thing felt like the frozen yogurt and the pizza. We were also surrounded by HUGE people. It was sad.

The casino was really cool, but they allow smoking in it so neither one of us wanted to stay. They also have photographers taking pictures of you all around the ship, which was cool but they charge you 20 dollars for each photo. We just went to the photo exhibit and took pictures with our phone. DONT BUY THEM. Rip off.

A few days it rained, and the boat was really rocky. When the weather sucks, there isn't much to do and the TV's in the rooms have like 8 channels. They have movies to watch but for 15-20 dollars each. The room service was fun, they had good desserts and salads and fruit bowls.

The ports were cool. Labadee was paradise, so beautiful. We went snorkeling on the snorkeling safari boat. It was really fun but we saw maybe one fish. And about 40 ppl signed up to do it so everyone was swimming on each other. We went ahead and purchased the 20 dollar underwater camera and it was well worth it and fun to see the photos. You get over 300 shots. Falmouth was soooo weird. It's not real jamaica, it's like fake. If you don't do an excursion in Jamaica you are not seeing it. We did the green grotto caves and Dunn River Falls.. really fun! It was pouring rain and freezing but it was fun. Falmouth is full of poverty and not as tropical as I had hoped. You definitely wouldn't wanna do exploring Falmouth by yourself.

The shows were great but the ppl in the audience were rude. Standing up, yelling, having absolutely no consideration for the actors. Hot tubs were nice, we went twice a day. The track around the ship was awesome but always really packed. We only purchased 4 alcoholic drinks the whole trip, and bought one pair of flip flops and a dinner at CHOPT and our bill at the end was 300 dollars bc of all the gratuties they added. And you HAVE to do excursions otherwise there's really no point.

We had an interior stateroom with no balcony and no window. It was totally fine, clean, and easy to sleep cuz it got so dark.

I will say there was a beautiful gym with a great steam room, we went every day.

Basically, we don't do a cruise again but it was a cool experience.
