This was our second Princess cruise and 13th overall. We had a group of five adults and were quite surprised to have a Greyhound bus transfer us from the Miami International airport to Ft. Lauderdale. The bus smelled of urine and the seats were filthy, we arrived at the port only to sit in a 45 minute traffic jam to enter the port area. We weren't impressed at all with the terminal, it was dingy and not welcoming at all, usually we are greeted with smiles and welcoming people directing you accordingly. Rather than a nice clean entrance to the ship we had to walk across the ship yard dock to enter the ship, not inviting at all. We were worried how this cruise would be. Again we were not welcomed by friendly staff but rather some somber faces that looked disinterested in your arrival.

Three of us had a mini-suite, we entered it and was shocked to see how dirty, dingy and worn the furniture was, our couch had several stains on the cushions, the bathroom floor had broken tile and it was dirty and dingy like it hadn't had a good cleaning in some time. There was mold and mildew on the tiles which was pretty disgusting. I expected a clean, rich looking room that would have been well taken care of like we had experienced with Carnival and Royal Caribbean, after all this ship if fairly new. Our first adventure was getting something to eat so we headed to the Lido deck to Cafe Caribe, what a disappointment, the food was bland and had very poor presentation, It was nothing short of a school cafeteria and very crowded and small. Overall the food was very bland, spiceless and flavorless, every dinner, lunch and breakfast we had lacked the five star quality you expect on a ship like this. We sat at table 250 in the Island dining room first seating, I'm not sure what was worse, the food tasting terrible or the maitre d avoiding our table all week like we were second class citizens. We did like our servers, Karn and Pat, they were excellent but at times would get our meals mixed up at the table but they were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed tea-time every afternoon with our friends that was a nice surprise for us.

As for the ships entertainment, well lets just say I've seen far better and talented high school performers than the Princess dancers, what a huge disappointment plus the volume was way too loud, we didn't enjoy it at all. The comedian Sarge was excellent as was Lovena Fox.
