We just got back from the Country Cruise on the Pearl and had a great time. We really enjoyed all the performances and chance to hang out with some of the stars. It was a very different cruise from the others we have been on as basically all the activities are focused on the music and performers.

The Pearl is not as fancy as some of the other ships we have been on but it was very clean and I found all the crew to be friendly and accommodating. There are some design flaws with the ship that perturbed me more and more as the week went on. Our cabin was one of them, we were excited to book a aft cabin for the first time but in the end we were disappointed, see comments below on cabin 8134. Deck 8 was a strange design where if we wanted to walk to our aft cabin we either had to cut through the Blue Lagoon or Churrascaria restaurants. The gym was on the side of the ship as apposed to the normal bow position and the ceilings were so low that when you stood on the equipment you could not see the horizon you could only look down at the water.

Our favorite restaurants were Indigo and Cagney's. We paid the premium for Lotus Garden and Churrascaria as well but honestly Cagney's was the only meal worthy of the extra charge. The food overall was not as outstanding as some of the other cruise lines we have been on (Disney, RC) but was still very good. We also liked the Great Outdoors for breakfast.

Cabin Review

Disappointed with aft facing balcony for several reasons:-Premium price-We were on 8th floor so noise from Bliss Lounge below until 3-4 AM every night-Bed is barely 6 feet long, yet 7 feet wide? Got tired of my feet hanging over bottom of bed.-Smallest bathroom of any ship we have sailed on (our seventh cruise) If you are over 250lb you will not fit in this bathroom.
