This was planned as a quick inexpensive get-a-way in December.
It was our first trip on Princess but our fifth cruise. All in all we had a great time. The ship was clean and the staff was great.
This time of year the age of passengers was on the older side so with us being in our 50's and early 60's we felt like the youngsters.
The shows were just what you expect. OK. some were better than others.
We did the anytime dinning and found this to be fine if you waited until around 8:00pm. A couple of nights we dinned with others and a couple of nights it was just the two of us.
The only down side was the ports of call. Princess's private island was a nice first day stop. Nice that lunch was included. The water was a little cool so the afternoon was spent on the beach.
The second stop was Grand Turk. Very nice around the dock with lots of shops, pool, beach and food.
Having been to Grand Cayman, Aruba and other Mexican ports we expected a little more of "downtown"
Wow not only disappointing but sad to say the least.
If this is your first be ready for sale after sale of jewelry, "art" and endless stuff. If that's your thing go for it, if not tune it out. I'm surprise by the people that are expert "cruisers" but complain about stuff like this. It's like saying my room was small.
The port area was great. Lots of shops, great beach, pool and places to eat.
Town was disappointing and sad. Nothing original in any of the shops and anyplace to eat was kind of scary.
Nice beach area.
