Ship Facts: MSC Armonia Review (by Cruise Critic!) | MSC Armonia Deck Plans
MSC Armonia in January

Sailed from Tenerife to Morocco and back. 7 nights. Italian led ship.

CLIMATE IN JAN-about 16-20c some wind and overcast and sunshine. Will be able to do a bit of sunbathing bit like a summer day in England not scorching, Plenty of sunbeds a part from on sea days. Good size pool. CABIN balcony suite 1016 nearly opp lifts so very convenient for getting onto sundeck 11./smoker area - spacious and very acceptable incl a bath good sized balcony and walk in wardrobe sete etc . Could sometimes here people in next cabin coughing. Cabin staff good attentive friendly. Clean cabins but not spotless eg windows to balcony had finger prints on them small detail.

ENTERTAINMENT. Entertainment v good. Team work hard fab costumes and choreography. A variety of shows each night. There could be more enrichment activities such as talks and guest speakers. Library fairly poor.

FOOD acceptable/some poor majority was previously frozen. Seemed to be lots of complaints. Coffee instant at breakfast so order your coffees from bar Tip get an all inclusive drink package before you go, It is good.

CLIENTELE about 5 diff nationalities so all announcement made in several languages. Mostly over 60's VERY casual bordering on scruffy for a lot (mainly the non Brits) Hard to communicate even though I speak french and italian.

DINING ARRANGEMENTS- 2 'formal' eves a week though lots people didn't look v smart at all. Two fixed sittings for food which I found a bit limiting.

EXCURSIONS-.informative and interesting but expensive. Could have offered more of a range limited choices TIPS 7 euros a day added to bil unless you request it not to be.-we asked for this to be removed as wished to tip individually.

STAFFvery friendly worked hard and tried hard esp pool staff and some of pool waiting staff and entertainment team. Restaurant was way overstaffed and tried hard but didnt appear v well trained. Seemed apologetic at times for the food.

EMBARKATION Poor organisation lack of staff at embarkation-needs some reorganising. Reception staff v attentive,

CONCLUSION glad I went on this cruise for Winter sun. Think we got what we paid for as cheap with all incl drinks etc. Sloppy in parts and good in others, Definately in the budget catogory of cruises. I prefer Thomson to MSC.If I go budget again think I will choose Thomson. Can recommend but don't have high expectations.
