Overall positive review for the Crown Princess Jan 11, 2014

Sail Date: January 2014
Destination: Southern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Background - 19 cruises & 9 with Princess.

Overall, we had a good cruise, however since we had a small child (age 13 months) with no babysitting opportunities other than my mom who was on the cruise as well, I would not probably return to Princess for this reason only until the child is 3 years of age.

Food - Our 1 night at the Crown Grill was excellent as always, however they no longer have the cobbler which was a bummer!. Our 2 formal nights in the main dining room were good to very good with attentive service and generally good to very good food. The remainder of our evenings were spent at the dinner buffet which was good to excellent depending on the evening. We like this option because it is less time consuming and allows for more entertainment options. Still in love with the Pizza & Ice Cream bar for a lighter meal/snack.

Entertainment - Excellent comedy, magic, etc... The Comedy Magician Christopher James was one of the best we have every seen More and Al Katz and his comedy was very good as usual. The Patrick and Matilda show is not to be missed either. We don't typically attend the singing/dancing shows in the Princess Theatre so can't comment there.

Service - Excellent service especially in the Lido buffet. Very attentive for drinks and other needs.

Itinerary - One of our favorites to Princess Cays - Curacao - Aruba. Played golf in the latter two. Less

Cabin review: Crown Princess P227

Small for 3 people and the bunk beds did not go into the wall but rather hung there the entire cruise. Nice use of the entire closet for space.
