This was our first cruise on Princess and my husband and I had a great time. We had cruised previously to Tahiti on a much more expensive line and were told that we'd be spoiled for anything else after THAT cruise. Well, Princess proved that theory wrong! We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and were totally enchanted with every aspect of the Star Princess cruise to Hawaii. Staff on board was so friendly. Our mini-suite was just right and we had no problems. Our cabin steward was very helpful and met our every need. The public rooms were all very clean and well kept.

There were so many interesting things to do that we almost couldn't relax because of our self-imposed schedule. We enjoyed the great entertainment, events and trivia. When we got to Hawaii we went tubing in Kauai, swimming at the beach on the Big Island, shopping in Maui and a beautiful drive around the North Shore on Oahu with a visit to the Cultural Center.

The food on the ship was fantastic! Loved the Cooking demonstration and tour of the Galley. We were even treated to a special dinner in our room for our anniversary. (Thanks to George for the specialized service). We liked being able to grab a pizza, go to the buffet or enjoy a relaxed sit-down breakfast at our leisure. Our only negative was that it was hard to get a cup of coffee or glass of iced-tea unless we went up to the buffet or paid for the specialty drinks, which we really didn't need.

Cabin Review

We were very comfortable in our Mini-Suite. The closet was roomy with an ample amount of hangers. The Bathroom had a shower and a very large comfy tub. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had minimal exterior noise. We loved the layout - especially the nice sitting area with two TV's.
