Sail Date: Jan 2014

In July of 2013 as a family we boarded the NCL Jade, having read the reviews and having sailed previously with Carnival on the newly refurbished Sunshine we were a little apprehensive. the Jade was a fantastic ship and the Staff were eager to make our stay enjoyable. in November i booked the one night stay on board the NCL Getaway, the newest addition to the NCL Fleet and sister ship to the NCL Breakaway. Not the biggest in the fleet (the biggest being the NCL Epic) however, a quality ship by far.

Our experience.

we arrived at the Port of Southampton at 12.00pm, unlike our previous experience with boarding, this one seemed to be a lengthy procedure. we eventually boarded the ship at 1.50pm and was greeted by many helpful staff assisting in anyway they could. we proceeded to our cabin which we found to be modern, and extremely large (we booked Allocation on arrival).

Cabin Review

Cabin was very good, quite large, well equipped. shower quite small.
