Expectations Met

Sail Date: December 2013
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

We booked a “Poseidon” cruise to be on the water over New Year 2013-14 and we lived to tell about it!

We booked two staterooms on Carnival having cruised with Carnival before with the expectation of a younger crowd for my approaching 30 kids. The crowd was excellent and the food somewhat limited.

We did book their upper-end steak house for New Year’s Eve and were not disappointed. Service in the steakhouse was excellent.

The food on board was essentially average…but pretty much what we expected with a budget cruise. Unfortunately, they had done away with a sushi bar on board so most of the casual dining one might characterize as American Cafeteria average….the breakfast burrito bar was a nice surprise.

We did pay up for “faster to the fun” and it was very much worth it…limiting our time embarking and disembarking…very nice addition.

The ports of call were appropriate and we had a More great time. Less

The room was fine....you can get crowd noise from other rooms if you have a rowdy bunch close to you.
