This was the thirteenth cruise for my wife and I, this one without our children who have done six. We did Cruise with my brother and his wife and met up with a number of fellow Cruise Critic friends we had been chatting with on our Roll Call.

We flew into FLL two days early, we always arrive at least one day early to avoid hassles, and stayed at the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton the first night and the Embassy Suites on 17th St in Ft Lauderdale the night before the Cruise on Sunday. We met up Saturday evening with a few of our Cruise Critic friends over free cocktails at the hotel.

We travelled over to the pier on the hotels 12:00 Shuttle. The lines looked long on arrival, but took only 17 minutes from when we got in line till we were on board the Caribbean Princess. Pretty smooth! The ship is beautiful and everything appeared clean and well kept. The crew was very friendly, unlike others have said, and we never had any problems with rudeness etc.
