Sail Date: Nov 2006

we booked our trip as a honeymoon getaway. we booked it only 2 weeks before sail date and got a really good rate because of being past guest and because how close to the sail date. We sailed from miami but flew into ft. lauderdale because it was cheaper. It cost us 30 dollars each way per person to do a share a ride. We stayed in downtown miami the night before our cruise at the days inn. We got a good deal on it and it was really cheap and only 2 miles from the ship. The room was nothing to write home about but then again we were only sleeping there. We discovered there is nothing to do in miami on a sunday night just like there isn't anything to do in ohio on a sunday. we walked around and found the hard rock cafe and enjoyed a few drinks. the next day was embarkation day and we left around noon. we got a ride from the hotel for 12.00.

embarkation went very smooth. we filled everything out before we got there and did not wait in line. this was my third cruise and my husband's first.i kept bragging about how nice ships were and i guess i lied because as soon as we got on the ship i cringed and my husband said that it looks like a shopping mall. no wonder why the cruise was so cheap. you get what you pay for. we ate lunch which was the infamous burger. trust me by the end of the trip we were so sick of burgers! after we ate we grabbed a "special of the day" for 7.95. at least the rum was strong. We watched as the ship sailed away and then went into our room. we only had an inside room but it was spacious enough. the beds are to die for. we did not want to leave our bed(hey it was our honeymoon) our room stewart was very nice and went out of his way for us. he made me extra towel animals and even tied my husbands tie. he even didn't tell on us for sneaking in our own alcohol ( hey we are in our twenties give me some credit) btw if you want to save money and still drink that's one way to do it. we went and sat down at the 615 dinner. we were seated with another honeymoon couple that was in their twenties. our meal was disappointing and it was this way at each dinner we ate. after eating at the formal dinner we ran and ate at the buffet. we went to bed early because we were going to be at key west at 8 am

key west was beautiful. we enjoyed it very much. we decided to walk around and find a place called the blonde giraffe that we saw on the food network. we wanted to eat key lime pie on a stick that is dipped in chocolate. we found the place and let me tell you it was worth every calorie! even though it was 10 am we ended up going to a bar that had 2 for 1 drinks. we got drunk for 15.00 not bad. we basically drank and walked around and found the 0 mile sign that key west is infamous for. we went back to the ship to get ready for formal night.
