My DH and I have cruised before mostly on NCL...We were originally booked on the NCL Gem for a 9 day cruise but decided to cancel and go on this 8 day cruise to the Bahamas, since you couldn't beat the price. We went with my brother and his wife along with their 13 year old daughter. DH wanted to experience an AFT balcony cabin so booked one..and we were celebrating our 38 wedding anniversary
First and foremost I do not think we will ever cruise in November again.. The water was very choppy going down and the ship rocked and rolled all the way to Port Canaveral...once we go there it was so cold 35 degrees. Even though the ship had a retractable roof over the pool, the water was ice cold, so no swimming there...the only day we had sun was in Freeport...even though the return trip was a lot smoother, the weather was still cold...
All in all, it was a good cruise...I did win in bingo which was a surprise since I dont like playing Bingo...
Cabin Review
Room was very spacious and kept very clean...hade no problems with the room ...was not able to use the balcony that much due to the weather.. did meet our next door neighbors due to the angular partition between cabins... for some reason every time we got off the elevator we had to walk the complete length of the ship...I guess we always ended up in the front of the ship...
