Ship Facts: Carnival Sunshine Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Sunshine Deck Plans
Great Ship

First of all , we had a great time. We had 14 of us, young, old, children, married, first timers, experienced cruisers, and everyone had a blast.

Rooms - on par for Carnival. Clean, comfortable. If you want a spacious room to hang out in, book a suite or go to a hotel at a private resort, the party is not in your room.

Food -

Buffet - wasnt overly impressed about the buffet, it was hot and decent , just not much seasoning for my liking

Assigned Dining - food was great, hot, and staff like always was outstanding

JI JI's - lunch for free was great - dinner for $12.00 was outstanding

Cucina Del Capitano - lunch for free was great - dinner i did not try, but heard it was outstanding also

555 Steakhouse - be ready to spend about $50 per person, but it was wonderful

Guys Burgers - highly recommend - free- awesome burgers

Blue Iguana Cantina - highly recommend - free - great burritos and soft tacos

Pizzeria & Sandwich Deli - free and very good

Shakespot - great milkshakes and cappucinnos for a minimal charge

Common Areas

Atrium really nice, lots of nice shops

Liquid Lounge - great reformation on updating it, bad flow - show up 20 min early for shows

Limelight Lounge - (comedy club) - small but nice, show up 20 min early for shows

Lido Deck - decent sized pool, 2 hot tubs, lots of space between lido the surrounding areas to lay out in the sun

Serenity Deck - nice adult space with hot tub, pool etc - very nice

Waterpark - awesome - kids loved it, adults loved it - obstacle course fun too

Bars - all the bars are nicely done with their own themes

Camp Carnival was awesome as always

Casino nice with decent variation of machines, table games, and denominations on machines

All the Staff, as always was amazing, helpful, and friendly. Thanks to Junior, Dob, and Kermeena for job well done

Just FYI - 1. There are a few buckets around when it rains to catch pesky leaks. 2. also, from time to time there is a faint smell of sewer. No ryme or reason. Always random places, decks and comes and goes quickly.

This was my 17th Carnival cruise and i will be ready to book another Carnival cruise very soon.
